Which Everpure Water Filter Do You Use? Forum

Trying to supervene upon an everpure water filter

I replaced my old filter and when I turn the water on the housing pops upward as force per unit area builds and water begins leaking out. Can't see too many ways to put in in. It's QC 2 model. Any ideas on what I did incorrect?

I had the aforementioned problem. In researching this, I plant that the new filters take different tolerances than the older ones, causing it to leak. We ended upwardly buying a new complete setup and that solved the problem.
On a side note, we bought a 2nd setup for the house kitchen, so that we can transfer the filter later a trip and get complete use from information technology. I would not trust a filter that has been sitting in the coach for a few months.

I take the same problem almost every time I change that thing. It's a poor design and Foretravel made it difficult to become to. I'grand likin' the purchase another one idea.

Nosotros observe that sometimes the Everpure filter volition leak, then now we e'er wrap the large O-band with a circle of Teflon plumbing tape and no more leaks.

But it is very important to push up firmly on the lesser to seat the filter then rotate to lock it in. We now have another inexpensive h2o alarm under the Everpure to notify us if it leaks.

The latest filter mount base of operations is QL3 Single, and it does not have a rotating locking ring. Nosotros lock the filter by rotating the filter. Nosotros use a large channel lock wrench to help rotate to loosen the filter.

We don't count on the filter housing close-off valve, as we accept an inexpensive plastic ball-valve on the flexible incoming plastic tube.

I think information technology is a bully idea to move the motorhome's Everpure to the house when the coach is stored, thanks for the thought.

I took the filter housing off and accept it in my kitchen to get a closer await. I'll endeavour the teflon tape. Hate to waste matter a new filter. I'll reassemble and try running the water through it again.

I have it sitting under the sink and so far no leak with the improver of teflon record. The plastic neckband has some play in it and seems more cosmetic since the filter seats in the metal channel underneath and the plastic role fits overtop.

I replaced the Everpure filter housing with a common firm filter (from Dwelling house Depot).
The mutual filter cost is 25% of the Everpure filter cost and it filters far more gallons of water.
I did have to bore a hole in the shelf under the sink.

I replaced the Everpure filter housing with a common house filter (from Habitation Depot).

Another great Wyatt idea. I think I will follow suit.
